Community Health Centre Katra has become the first CHC in the Union Territory of J&K to get a certification under National Quality Assurance Standards, NQAS including LaQshya Standards.
The facility underwent a rigorous 3-day assessment between 27 to 29 February by a two-member team of empanelled External Assessors.
Under the NQAS assessment, CHC Katra achieved an overall score of 86.9% by meeting all six criteria. The facility has also been given a conditional certification under LaQshya assessment standards with a score of 92% on LR scale and 83% on MOT scale.
Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib has applauded the rare achievement and attributed the success to Chief Medical Officer, PS Thakur; BMO Katra, Dr Gopal Dutt; Nodal Officer Quality Assurance Programme, Dr Amit Bajaj and entire team of CHC Katra.
A certificate of achievement has already been issued to the CHC by Additional Secretary & Mission Director NHM, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Vandana Gurnani.
